The Garville Netball Club Board have called a Special General Meeting to be held at The Astor Monday 15 November 2021 at 7pm.
The purpose of the meeting is to make the following Constitutional changes
Change Clause 8.13 Elected Directors are to be elected for terms, to be as follows:
8.13.3 the positions of one-half of the number of general Directors are elected in odd-numbered years and serve for two years;
8.13.4 the positions of the other half of the number of general Directors are elected in even-numbered years and serve for two years; and
8.13.5 in the case of the first election after the adoption of this rule, the general Directors will draw lots to determine which of them will serve for two years and which of them will serve for one, after which time elections will be in accordance with clauses 8.13.3 and .
Note: The intention is that each general Director will serve for two years from election. If a casual vacancy occurs in the first years of a two-year term, the position is declared vacant at the next AGM, but the election is only for the unexpired portion of the original term, so that in future half of the number of general Directors will continue to be elected at each AGM.
Remove Clauses 10.18 to 10.24 regarding Absentee Votes from Clause 10 Proceedings at General Meetings
