Playing for Garville Netball Club

Garville Netball Club has a long tradition competing at the highest levels of netball in South Australia and in other senior and junior competitions.

Garville competes in The Hospital Research Foundation Group Premier League competition, the pre-eminent netball competition in South Australia.

From 2023, Garville has been a founding club in the South Australian Men’s Super League competition.

At other levels, Garville Netball Club competes each Winter in the Netball SA Adelaide Metropolitan Netball Division (AMND) in both senior and junior age groups. During Summer, Garville competes in the Netball SA City Night Netball (City Night) competition in senior and junior age groups.

From 2024, Garville also compete in the SAMMNA MLeague competition for men’s and mixed teams.

REGISTRATIONS

2026 AMND WINTER SEASON

The Garville Netball Club invites all past and future players to register to trial for the 2026 AMND winter season.   It is an expectation that all players attend all trials and wear plain attire, ie No Club, School or State colours are to be worn throughout trials. Boys who will be 12 or younger on 31 December 2026 are eligible to trial, and to play.

Trials are scheduled for 2nd, 3rd, 9th, 10th, 16th and 17th of February 2026 (Mondays and Tuesdays)..

Dates and times are now set out below under age group headings. Regrettably, we have a mix of venues and times, so please check carefully. All trials are scheduled for St Michael’s College, 15 Mitton Ave, Henley Beach.

Trainings are Compulsory
Our club Trainings are held on a Tuesday Night between 6-9pm (depending on age group) at Netball SA Stadium Mile End. All players and teams are expected to train at the allocated times as per club direction. Sub Primary, Primary & Sub juniors 6-7.30pm, Juniors, Inters & Seniors 7.30-9pm. Please note this may change due to stadium upgrades.

Season Training dates TBC once we have information from Netball SA

Note: AMND League team, A grade, inter 1 & 2 teams are expected to train twice weekly on Tuesdays and 2nd night TBC. (This will include High Performance training in the gym and skills sessions)

Matches
Generally games are played on Saturdays at Netball SA Stadium 155 Railway Terrace, Mile End South. Due to the stadium upgrade NSA have not confirmed the commencement date or times for games. has not been released at this stage due to stadium upgrade. NSA are currently surveying the AMND community seeking feedback on possible changes to the structure. Changes to playing days and times could be a possibility.

AMND Grade Games may be played at Adelaide Arena on Saturday afternoon - TBC

Uniform
Uniform fittings will be available at trials date or can be ordered online or instore at Sports Centre 745 Port Road, Woodville. If you are not selected your uniform costs will be returned to you.

The following items are compulsory for training and match day.
Training: black pants/shorts and Garville warm-up top (warm-up to be provided by the Club prior to 1st round games)
Match day: Dress, shorts, socks, warm-up top and hoodie.
All other apparel is optional and available at Sports Centre.

Winter Fees 2026
Sub-Primary: $360.00 per player
Primary, Sub-Juniors, Juniors, and Inters $500 per player
Seniors $360

All players who are selected in a team will be provided with a club warm-up top as a part of their registration fee. Please ensure you add your size at registration.

On acceptance of your position, the Netball SA annual membership fee for Inter & Seniors $138.75 plus GST and $107.20 plus GST for Juniors and a $4.49 INC GST digital processing fee will be applied separately to the club’s registration fee. These fees are charged for the period 1 April 2026 until 31 March 2027.

Government Sports Vouchers
The Government school vouchers to the total value of $200 are available for students from Reception to Year 9 twice per calendar year per child. Families wishing to use their sports voucher(s) please contact our Treasurer once you have registered at treasurer@garville.com.au

Important information – Please read
Club fees must be paid at the time of registration; Netball SA Fees must be paid on acceptance of position.
No player will be allowed to trial unless all fees are paid in full prior to trial date
If a player is offered a place in a team and subsequently withdraws, there will be no refund offered.
Players who withdraw prior to the commencement of trials will receive a refund of club fees less $100 administration fee.
Players not selected in a team will receive a refund of club fees less $100 trial fee.
Due to the large number of players trialling, no player is guaranteed a place in a team.
You will be notified by email when teams have been chosen.
Selection in a Summer Team DOES NOT mean automatic selection in a team for Winter competition. Previous selection in a Winter or Summer team does not give an expectation of an equivalent or higher grading for the coming season.
All players are required to attend ALL trials - If unable to attend the trial an email apology MUST be sent to the Trial Coordinator trials@garville.com.au
Some trials will be held on outside venues so please ensure your wear sunscreen, bring a hat when not on court and drink plenty of water during and prior to arriving at trials. Ensure you have enough water and some snacks to last the duration of the trial session.
Please refer to the club Facebook page for regular updates on trails as any changes that may need to occur can be very last minute. Make sure you have linked your Facebook with our club page if you have not done so already.
All players are expected to attend our club meet and greet to obtain important club information and a light training session. More information on this date will be circulated with team nominations.

Please note: Garville Netball Club makes every effort to keep participation costs as affordable as possible each season. Due to the significant redevelopment works currently underway at Netball SA over the summer period, court hire fees have not yet been finalised. In the event that court hire charges exceed initial estimates, an additional fee may be required at the time of accepting selection to offset the increased costs. Should this be necessary, families will be advised prior to selection notifications being sent.
